Kitty love
I love cats so much. Wandering around the house is so much more pleasant when you come across a cat, and they happily greet you. They don’t care about your job, school or love life. If you feed them, they will love you. They’re warm and comforting, and really helping to soothe my aggravation right now. Kitsey’s curled up by my side, purring, and Orion’s happily balled up at...

Acceptance, and frustration
I got accepted to Guelph today, but my parents have taken away any happiness that comes with that information.
I was reading through my Ottawa U acceptance package, and I noticed that I had to accept their acceptance by May 7 (that’s a little early, isn’t it?). I got nervous, because I was still waiting for my Guelph acceptance, and I couldn’t turn down Ottawa U until I was...

April 27: Tattoos
————————————————————————-
On the note of tattoos, I’m finally thinking of settling down and getting one. But I’m not sure if I want to brave the mother hurricane afterwards… I’d rather get my eyebrow pierced and deal with...

Vacation anger
I am thoroughly hating this vacation. At first being around my family was great, but after one day the novelty wore off. I get along with Dad, but I clash with Mom and Dev at every opportunity. And they’re always a united front, so if I have a beef with one of them I get crap from both of them. Dev is so selfish, and Mom is so dumb.
Plus her snoring ruins every night we sleep in the same...

Pride and Prejudice Illustrated Website →

fuckyeahjaneites:
This website was made by 2 Jane Austen fans who have given fellow Janeites a visual look at the book “Pride and Prejudice.” You can go on the same journey as Elizabeth Bennet as you travel from location to location. There is also an online store if anyone is interested in buying some merchandise.
More here. :] Seeing how exhausting I find Pride and...

Interesting side note
I got accepted at Ottawa U last weekend :)
I barely even remember to mention it to people :S It’s just not something I’m excited about - it’s my back-up school, and I don’t hope to go there. It’s a nice school, but my heart is set on Guelph.
The most important part about this acceptance, though, is that this is the school that required a portfolio. Thus, they liked...

Punch him out
I enjoy the time I get to spend with my brother on vacations, but it gets wearing. He’s got these solid opinions of what’s right and wrong, interesting and boring, and I feel like he’s not open to other people’s opinions. I hope that I don’t give off that vibe when I’m discussing my beliefs. I’ve never encountered this before. (Obviously I’ve...

Grand Canyon Vacation: Day 2
We’re down in Arizona for a week (and Utah, soon). When we got off the plane we were met with this beautiful wave of warmth. We spent a wonderful night in a gorgeous (and surprisingly inexpensive hotel), then got up and drove to the Grand Canyon. And then it started to hail. WTF$#T$%ANGER$%!!!!!! It’s been snowing since then. (Although to be honest, I just looked out the window and...

Reconnecting
I finally got to go see Mike! I put it off so much in the fall, and he eventually stopped trying to hang out with me. I don’t blame him, but I couldn’t get over my nervousness of unknown situations. His lifestyle choices are so monumentally different from mine, so in the past we were never able to find an appropriate time to hang out. After he moved, he invited me to his house but I...

Nerrrrd
I got my tax refund yesterday, and decided to treat myself. I don’t buy a lot of new stuff, so with this extra money [before it’s all gone] I decided to give myself something I’ve been wanting. So, I ran over to EB Games (lol, yes, video games were my treat) and picked up a couple games. I have been intending to buy Mario Party and Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story...

How stereotypical
HIPPIE.
1x I love long, flowy peasant skirts.
2x I wear circular-shaped glasses.
3x I have long wavy or straight hair.
4x Peace and love, baby!
5x I own a peace sign necklace.
6x I’m very anti-war.
7x Make love, not war!
8x I’m a big environmentalist.
9x I prefer to go all-natural; so no make up for me, unless it’s a very little amount. - I don’t wear make up, but only because...

Hopeful
I need a list to keep track of everything I need to buy/find for rez next year. That is, of course, if I get accepted. I hate the waiting game :(
DVD player - My old one just imploded or something, and I had to bust it apart to salvage my DVD.
Mini fridge - Nana had one, and Dev was using it. Hopefully it’s still around somewhere so we don’t have to buy/rent one.
Mouse Trap - Maybe...

Je suis canadienne
This weekend we spent all our time (that I wasn’t working) connecting with Mom’s biological family. Her uncle Gaston came down from Sturgeon (near Sudbury) to meet her for the first time, and he took us to meet some cousins in Ottawa. Everybody welcomed us with open arms. I was so happy to learn that I have French Canadian blood in me, and it makes me want to connect with it....

Barefoot
becompassionate:
I am going to start going barefoot everywhere :3
I love going barefoot as much as possible all summer. When I went to Florida for a kayaking trip, our guide went barefoot everywhere. Before we left, he was barefoot in the campground, the gas station (no, it wasn’t dirty and sketchy)… I was so jealous.

Too melancholic to dance.: audiobook and magic →
I have never done this before; listening to an audiobook playing in the background as I work, and I must say this feels so right. There is magic here, in the air. (No pun intended, as I’m currently listening to the Half-Blood Prince). I might take this up as a habit.
Jim Dale’s narration is so fantastic, by the way.
This reminds me of a long-forgotten ambition of mine; to become a narrator...

Spendings and Savings
I need to develop healthy money habits, but it’s so difficult. It’s so much easier to turn a blind eye to my financial situation like I have been, instead of taking preventative measures. I don’t buy things I need, like a new bra (I never have more than one, and it gets incredibly tattered) or new work pants (for the longest time I had a single pair, until they tore a hole in the...

I need to veg...
I’m getting stressed out about school. I have quite a few projects due next week, and so little time to do them all. Plus I have plans I’m trying to make with people. I’m so bad about cancelling on people, I do it so much and I feel so guilty about it, so it generally just adds to my stress. I’m going to see Mike next week and I cannot cancel on him, because I did that too...

Family time for Easter weekend
I had a really good weekend at my Grandma’s with my family. Normally, although I love my family, I feel a little squashed around them. My Aunt Midge is always ragging on everybody for something, for example, and it’s very irritating. Every time she tells us not to drink so much milk because Grandma will need some when we’re gone, so we’ve been bringing milk with us for...
