Why are the enemies in Zelda games so cute? Moinks on the tracks, blastworms that inch towards you, snurgles with their trunks and sensitive ears. I don’t want to kill any of them!

I think I retract my previous statement about playing the Sims all night and may start reading A Game of Thrones. I’ve really been enjoying reading The Swan Thieves by Elizabeth Kostova but it’s making me sad so I’ve set it aside briefly (hopefully not for too long, because last year I set it aside at the end of August and didn’t pick it back up once school started).

I’m so super excited to move back to Guelph! Everyone from eco house keeps posting status updates that say “moving back to Guelph tomorrow” and so on, and it’s making me so jealous. Only a few more days, though. Tomorrow I’ll be mowing the lawn for cash during the day and then Aunt Mary Louise and Uncle Ted will be staying the night (they’re so much fun!). Then...

Favourite Pokémon type
(nine / thirty)
Electric is my favourite type by far. It’s single weakness is very convenient and I find its attacks to be versatile and useful. With a few exceptions, I love the design of electric Pokémon. A close second is the poison type, I find it to be useful (especially with the occasional benefit of poisoning the opponent), but I don’t enjoy the design of poison types so...

Whooahhhhh. I was searching for Swablu pictures for Pokémon of the Day and my Swablu paperchild was on the first page of most popular deviations. Out of over 2000 works, mine is one of the first. Holy crap.

Remember in grade one when there were weekly homework assignments in those little notebooks? And you always got a sticker if you did well? One time I outlined all my stickers in pencil and my teacher got mad and made me erase them. I don’t know why I just remembered that, but man he must’ve been such a control freak.

Labour Day can't come fast enough
I think next summer I should try to stay in Guelph again. Moving in and out of home is really stressful, I get trapped between places. When Sam and I live at home we have such silly problems that we had in high school (such as not being able to see each other because his mom says no), and it’s frustrating just sitting on it and saying, well when we move back to Guelph this won’t be an...

Everything you wish for in a significant other
(twenty-one / three hundred sixty-five)
The number one thing that I need in a partnership is laughter. That’s not to say that he has to be funny, but he has to be fun. He must be silly and goofy, and unconditionally accepting. He has to have goals and passion. Above all, he must accept and love me unconditionally. Sam fits the bill perfectly and is a perfect complement to my own qualities,...
