A letter to someone you don’t talk to as much as you’d like

Dear Dev,

I’m jealous of the relationships other people seem to have with their siblings. At some point in our lives we just kinda stopped interacting a whole lot. I think it’s because our interactions were so regulated when we were kids that I grew afraid to act freely around you. I bet you have an opinion of your own about why we don’t talk much. I know that I leaned back and decided that I would cross my fingers that when you were older, we would build a relationship. It would be nice if we could be one of those families that visits each other all the time and our kids will be really close. We’ll see. I’m glad you’re my brother, and I hope we grow closer as the years go by. We’ve got tons of time to do it. I’m proud of you and how well you’re doing in your first year of university.
